Entrepreneurship 101 Program 

Our Entrepreneurship 101 Certificate program for small business entrepreneurs will cover a range of topics and provide practical knowledge and skills that are essential for starting and running a successful business. Sessions will be virtual with in person orientation and graduation including networking opportunities.

The primary objective of this event is to help small business owners understand
how to build a thriving business, and impart the invaluable skills essential for
cultivating a robust return on investment. The event will cover a range of topics
including Business Planning, Marketing & Sales, Finance Management, Technology and Digital Tools, and much more. Our goal is to ignite your ambition and prepare you to take that bold leap towards your entrepreneurial dreams.

Program Agenda 

Session 1: Program Orientation and Business Planning:

Discuss program objectives and final project. Teach participants how to develop a comprehensive business plan, including market research, competitive analysis, target audience identification, and financial projections.

Session 2: Marketing and Sales:

Cover effective marketing strategies, branding, customer acquisition and retention, online marketing techniques, social media marketing, and sales techniques. How to set up and leverage eBay to grow a small product based business.

 

- Virtual via Zoom, Tuesday, November 14th 5:30-7:30pm

Session 3: Financial Management:

Provide guidance on basic financial concepts, budgeting, cash flow management, accounting principles, financial statements, and sources of funding for small businesses.

 

- Virtual via Zoom, Tuesday, November 28th 5:30-7:30pm

Session 4: Human Resources, Technology, & Digital Tools:

Cover essential HR topics, including hiring and recruiting employees, performance management, employee training and development, compensation and benefits, and legal considerations related to human resources. Introduce participants to relevant technology tools, software applications, and digital platforms that can enhance business efficiency, productivity, and customer engagement.

Session 5: Graduation, Networking & Collaboration, Celebration:

Teach participants how to build professional networks, establish partnerships, collaborate with other businesses, and leverage community resources and support networks.
